Research Associate

Job Description:
Research Associates are entry level analysts who form the project team foundation for client engagements. They are responsible for a wide range of activities from data acquisition through analysis and summarization for client presentations. Research Associates are in charge of discrete project components such as secondary research collection and synthesis, data analytics and modeling, analyzing primary market research results, and creating client presentation materials. With clear guidance, Research Associates get what is requested, conduct prescribed analysis accurately and develop the ability to see what is significant and relevant to the client. Illustrative data modeling/statistical analyses include: linear and logistic regression; forecasting and simulation exercises; hypothesis testing and analysis of variance; and customer targeting. Research Associates report to Consultants, Managing Consultants, and/or Partners during the course of an engagement and work simultaneously on multiple client engagements.
Job Requirements:
Candidates should have an outstanding academic record with an undergraduate or advance degree in marketing, statistics, economics, operations research or finance from a top institution. They should possess a strong analytic and quantitative background. Relevant work experience as a teaching or research assistant while pursuing a degree or during summer internships is preferred. Computer literacy is a must; proficiency in MS Office products as well as experience with statistical packages, e.g. SPSS or SAS, is highly desired. Successful candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills. They must be able to communicate complex ideas effectively - both verbally and in writing, work well on teams demonstrating leadership qualities, and handle multiple commitments and frequent deadlines.
