Job Description:
Consulting Associates are responsible for varied client engagement activities ranging from designing proprietary market research surveys, leading data analytic and modeling initiatives, and creating sections of client presentations. Consulting Associates are in charge of project modules, such as forecast model development, third party vendor management, and conducting one-on-one customer interviews. Consulting Associates demonstrate expertise in either quantitative or qualitative analysis, can identify meaningful findings and insights from their analysis, prepare first drafts of conclusions and contribute to formulation of recommendations in assigned project areas. Consulting Associates report to Managing Consultants, and/or Partners during the course of an engagement and work simultaneously on multiple client engagements. Illustrative data modeling/statistical analyses include: linear and logistic regression; market sizing and segmentation analysis; profiling of purchase, usage and demand; customer targeting; predictive models and forecasting; measurement of promotional response; and experimental design.
Job Requirements:
Candidates should have an outstanding academic record with an advance degree in marketing, statistics, economics, or finance from a top institution. They should possess a strong analytic and quantitative background with some relevant work experience. A minimum of two to three years of work experience in a leading pharmaceutical or biotech firm, a healthcare client services company or top tier consulting is preferred. Successful candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills. They must be able to communicate complex ideas effectively - both verbally and in writing, work well on teams demonstrating leadership qualities, and handle multiple commitments and frequent deadlines. Computer literacy is a must; proficiency in MS Office products and in developing Excel based models with macros and visual basic is critical. Experience with statistical packages, e.g. SPSS or SAS, is also highly desired.
