"When thinking about what I like about MAC, these things immediately come to mind: dress-down and free breakfast on Fridays, having one's own office, flexibility in work hours, etc. These perks all work together to give MAC a warmer feel that is more personal and less rigid than what you might find in the Big Corporate world. You won't see any rows of quiet cubicle workers typing away at their monitors. You don't have to be sneaking into the office or making up excuses because you were half an hour late. The work atmosphere is simply more comfortable without being less professional or rigorous. You are given freedom and responsibility at the same time.
"Looking beyond the everyday workplace conveniences, the project work is really what appeals to me about MAC. Being a relatively custom shop, the nature and goal of projects will vary a good deal. Some projects may be similar to projects that you have completed, others may be completely new to you (and in some cases, new to the firm too!). Naturally, with the variety in the work, there will be the challenge of having to deal with different sets of problems posed by each project. Sometimes there will be others in the shop whose experience you can draw from, other times you may be required to solve the problem in your on way because it is truly something that nobody has done before. The result is that in general the work you do will have much less repetition and much more learning associated with it. Rather than simply relying on a rigid formula, you are taught to think critically about what you are doing and why you are doing it. Creative thinking, problem solving, client interaction, presentation, and work management skills are examples of skills that will be nurtured as you work through the projects. There will be times when you feel tired because you spent the whole day contemplating how to tackle a complex problem, but there will rarely (never?) be times when you feel bored from doing the same thing for the 15th time. Indeed, the only way that you can be truly bored would be if you had no project work to do at all!"

"The promise of a friendly, efficient and democratic working environment, brilliant colleagues, provocative, leading-edge thought and superior technology lead me to my current position as a Consultant at MAC.
"I have not been disappointed by my choice. Each day I am challenged by my clients, by junior and by senior staff. Each day I learn and grow. We are regarded as a firm who solves unique problems and offers new insight into old ones. Each time we repeat a task or analysis, we challenge ourselves to improve upon our last iteration. Solving new and old problems in fresh ways is what I enjoy most about my profession and about MAC."
